1. Introduction

Newly diagnosed cancer patients make the mistake of just following the doctor's orders. Little do they know that someone else is making one of the biggest decisions of their life. These patients hang on by a thread, lacking knowledge of their illness and losing control over their own lives. Chemotherapy, the "usual" for mant patients is taken without thought, without worry, and without hope. But should this cycle be repeated over and over again until the cancer dies for good? No, because by then killing the cancer, the patient violently disrupts the delicate balance of their internal defenses, thus wiping out the patient too. Why should patients take such a risk when they don't need such a risky treatment? Is all that extra pain and suffering worth it? The patients should have a way out , other recommendations, anything to preserve the life they have rather than endanger it with chemotherapy. Cancer patients should use chemotherapy as a last resort since it can do more harm than help.
